The Wright Property celebrate a fantastic weekend of sporting prowess this weekend, as sponsor of the region’s second Barnstaple Marathon. Providing refreshment at the Fremington Manor water point, the fancy-dressed team were on hand to cool down over 650 athletes with cups of water and sponges. Wright Property employees Miles Hamer and Daniel Stanbury competed in the Half Marathon event, running a decent 1:55:43 and 1:50:26 respectively whilst landlord Frances Rhodes smashed her PB for the full 26.2 miles at 4:23:13 and won her age group!
Handing out the prize to official Barnstaple Marathon winner, Kenyan Timon Cheruiyot, Director Claire Shambrook praised the organisation and participants alike.
“We’re super proud of both of our boys and of course, wonderful Fran. Not to mention our brilliant Minions roasting in the midday heat bringing smiles and hydration to all the runners. A brilliant day over all!”
Wright Property director and sports fanatic Jon Gay was unfortunately unable to attend on the day, having unavoidably double-booked himself a seat at Twickenham Rugby Ground to watch England V Wales. Whether or not England lost on purpose to teach Jon not to abandon his team mates is a matter for debate.

Have you run 26.2 miles? Hurts, doesn't it? But well done you! Why not call The Wright Property to boast about it?
